The 1st Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference in Saudi Universities, hosted by King Abdulaziz University, continued into its second day with a lineup of expert panels and in-depth workshops. The sessions drew participation from academics, researchers, and professionals from government entities, universities, and private sector organizations.
Panel discussions addressed a variety of themes, including strategies for enabling research and innovation to support national development, the transformative role of generative AI in higher education, the contribution of innovation zones to investment ecosystems, and opportunities for R&D collaboration with the private sector. One panel, titled “Innovation, Investment, and Industry: Toward an Integrated National Model,” offered a forward-looking vision for cross-sector innovation.

Scientific sessions featured research on empowering women in science, enhancing creativity in applied projects, the connection between academic leadership and institutional performance, and advanced studies in health and technology fields.
Workshops explored topics such as biotechnology’s role in healthcare innovation, transitioning from idea to impact in sustainable health solutions, reimagining traditional education to foster creativity, building successful startups, and the university’s role in developing innovative communities.
Participants continued to present scientific posters and applied research projects in fields such as AI, energy, entrepreneurship, and sustainabilit, highlighting the university’s dedication to research collaboration and practical knowledge exchange.
These efforts reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to nurturing national talent and advancing its position in the global knowledge economy in line with Vision 2030.
